What I built
A desktop app with three shelves — Want to Read, Reading, and Read — plus smart organization, notes, and a growing library of purchase/borrow decisions. Built in Electron so it lives natively on the Mac. Showcased to a community of strangers and got genuine love.
Why I built it
I’m a reader. My personal library is a barely contained chaos of paper and ink. The number of books I want to read, come across as recommendations, and daydream about reading numbers in the hundreds. Every existing solution was either too heavy (Goodreads), too simple (a list), or required me to give my data to someone else. I wanted something that was mine.
